FRUIT CLICKER! by HakkerKat turns a big red apple into the starting point for an expanding fruit business. Click to earn money, spend it on automatic production, and reinvest the income in more producers and upgrades. Golden apples interrupt the steady climb with rewards that can change your next purchase.
How to Play
Start the game with the green flag, then click the red apple. Your balance appears at the top, with automatic production shown underneath as FPS: fruit per second. The level bar tracks your progress separately from the money available to spend.
Open the shop with the arrow on the right. A Handful of Fruits starts at 15 and adds 0.1 FPS. Once you own one, your balance rises without another apple click while the game is running. Keep clicking to reach purchases sooner, or let production help cover the next cost.
Buying another copy raises that producer's price. The first Handful costs 15, the next costs 18, and the following one costs 21. Check the current price before planning another purchase.
Build Production and Improve What You Own
The next producer starts at 100 and adds 1 FPS. A Crate of Fruits costs 1.1k initially and adds 8 FPS, making it a substantial step up from the first handfuls. You can scroll through the shop to inspect later purchases and their costs.
Use the shop's upgrade control to see improvements alongside the producers. The first 300-cost upgrade changes a Handful's output from 0.1 to 0.3 FPS. It improves the handfuls you already own, so compare an upgrade with another producer instead of spending every available dollar on the cheapest item.
The production display uses rounded-down whole numbers once output grows: five upgraded handfuls, one second-tier producer, and one crate displayed 10 FPS during play. Small production increases can therefore be less obvious on the counter than on a producer's description.
Watch for Golden Apples
Click a golden apple when it appears. Rewards vary: golden apples awarded a cash boost during play, while another triggered Fruit Frenzy, a temporary sevenfold production boost. That frenzy turned the main apple gold and raised the displayed production from 10 to 73 before it returned to normal.
Keep the main play area in view when looking for these bonuses. A cash reward can bring an expensive purchase within reach immediately; after a frenzy, check your accumulated balance before returning to the shop. The trophy button opens achievements, including milestones for clicking, automatic production, and golden apples.
Before You Leave
Treat your progress as a session rather than relying on a saved return. In a fresh embedded-player test, earning five resources and then refreshing and restarting the game returned the balance to zero. Plan around the time you have available, and do not depend on offline income.
FAQ
Does every golden apple give the same reward?
No. Cash rewards and a temporary Fruit Frenzy production boost both occurred during play. A golden apple does not guarantee one particular outcome.
Does the first upgrade increase the value of every click?
The verified effect is on Handful production: each Handful increases from 0.1 to 0.3 fruit per second. Use it to improve automatic income rather than expecting a threefold increase in click earnings.
